Everyone can give back to College of the Atlantic.
Alumni give their time, expertise, and money so that students can have great professors, a healthy and inspiring campus, and the kind of education they can look back on with pride.
There are several opportunities for those alumni who would like to give back to COA through volunteering. By giving your time as an Admission Volunteer or as an Alumni Mentor, you will be ensuring that students at COA continue to be thinkers, doers, and changers of the world.
Be a Mentor
Mentors are alumni wanting to be a resource for COA students and fellow alumni. Your role as a mentor may be answering questions about your work, offering employment to a recent graduate, or housing an intern who volunteers in your area. Your knowledge, skills, experiences, and insights are invaluable to other COA Human Ecologists who are making decisions about their future.
If you are interested in playing a more active role in networking with COA, contact Jill Barlow-Kelley, director of internships and career services (email@example.com, 207-801-5633).
Be An Admission Volunteer
Prospective students gain a deeper understanding of a COA education when they can connect with someone who has experienced it firsthand. Alumni Admission Volunteers assist the Office of Admission in attracting bright, creative, passionate students. If you are interested in representing COA at college fairs, interviewing prosepctive students, or speaking with parents of applications, please contact Andrew Moulton '04, admission counselor and alumni admission volunteer coordinator (firstname.lastname@example.org, 207-801-5644).
