While there is always lots to do on campus, Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park provide tremendous off-campus opportunities for COA students.  Downtown Bar Harbor is a mile from campus.  Acadia National Park is just as close. COA runs a shuttle to and from town several times each evening so that students can easily get to the grocery store, the YMCA or Reel Pizza.  Student Life staff organizes outdoor trips that insure that students learn their way around Acadia and master the use of outdoor equipment such as canoes, kayaks, and cross-country skies.
