Whether that journey assumes the form of an apprenticeship with an indigenous artist in Arizona’s desert, an internship with a nuclear disarmament program in California, or research on a turtle community off the coast of Florida, we put you in touch with people whose expertise informs and enriches your experience.

Our college campus is a true home-base, a powerful gathering place for a dynamic and sometimes itinerant community. In that sense, the distinction between off- and on-campus studies blurs. We thrive on conversations that make our feet twitch, our intellects expand, and our hearts wonder. COA believes students should put into practice the concepts and skills they are learning. We encourage you to participate in a variety of opportunities regionally, nationally and internationally in order to deepen skills and refine ideas. From a term in Guatemala to a year of study with Eco League partner institution Alaska Pacific University, each student is supported in her or his pursuit of a tailor-made education.
