International Student Services

Welcome to International Student Services at College of the Atlantic! Students come to COA from thirty-five different countries to study at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Both in and out of the classroom COA strives to foster an environment where students can share their diverse cultural perspectives and develop a more global lens through which to view Human Ecological issues.
International Student Services is a division of Student Life responsible for:
- Advising international students on matters relating to US federal immigration regulations and maintaining F-1 status
- Supporting international students in their transition to a new cultural, academic, physical and social environment
- Maintaining programs designed to help international students both engage the local community and stay connected to their home cultural environments
- Helping deliver services and programming to the COA community related to international study and intercultural awareness
- Ensuring institutional compliance with SEVIS and Federal Immigration Regulations
As integral members of our small college community, international students at COA benefit from a high level of personal engagement and support. Kylee Gies, coordinator of International Student Services, serves as your main contact person for matters regarding your student status at COA. You may contact her by email or by telephone at 207-801-5673. For questions related to international admissions, please contact Sarah Gribbin, International Admission Counselor, by email or by telephone at 207-801-5643.
