"The feeling of closeness with my professors makes me feel supported and obliges me to push my limits further and further."

Academic Facilities

In true human ecological fashion, the boundaries between academic, residential and recreational life sometimes blur at COA. For example, Beech Hill Farm - the college's working organic farm - is the centerpiece of the academic program in agriculture and food systems. The farm also supplies produce to Take-A-Break, the college's dining facility, where a simple meal becomes an educational opportunity when students begin to consider where and how their food was produced. Although the entire COA campus functions on many levels as a learning laboratory, these facilities directly support the academic program:

The college partners with a variety of organizations to provide educational opportunities for students. Some of these organizations include:

College of the Atlantic, 105 Eden Street, Bar Harbor, ME 04609
