COA ALUMNI Day of service: Seattle, Washington

Washington Park Arboretum Work Day
Saturday, April 12, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. 

Remove invasive plants, prune, plant native species, or spread mulch in conjunction with Student Conservation Corps at Washington Park Arboretum – UW Botanical Gardens, 2300 Arboretum Dr. E. Please wear weather-appropriate clothing and sturdy shoes that you don’t mind getting dirty. Bring a bottle of water. Work gloves and all project supplies will be provided by SCA. Whole Foods Market in South Lake Union will provide breakfast. Meet in front of the Graham Visitor Center at 8:45.

COA Alumni Day of Service: Portland, Maine

Mulching and Raking at Jewish Community Alliance
Tuesday, April 22, 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. 

Spread mulch with COA alumni, friends, and family at the Jewish Community Alliance Southern Maine, 57 Ashmont Street. Please wear weather-appropriate clothing. If you can bring your own gloves, rakes, and/or shovels that will be helpful.  Rain date Sunday April 27, 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Following the work, alumni can head to The Great Lost Bear, 540 Forest Ave, for refreshments and more camaraderie.

COA Alumni Day of Service: Boston, Massachusetts

Spectacle Island Work Day
Saturday, April 26, 8:45 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Hosted by Friends of the Boston Islands and Mass Department of Conservation and Recreation, volunteers will be cleaning up the visitor center, landscaping, painting, or picking up trash while enjoying the beautiful island. Wear layers of warm work clothes that can get dirty or stained. Bring lunch, water, and sturdy work gloves (Friends of Boston Harbor will provide gloves for those who don’t own a pair). Free boat ride departs from north wharf near the Boston Aquarium.

coa alumni day of service: Mount Desert Island

Friends of Acadia Earth Day Roadside Cleanup
Saturday, April 26, 8:30 to 11:30 a.m.

Join the 15th annual spring pickup on MDI. Vests, gloves, water, trash bags provided  by Friends of Acadia.

Following the clean up, join the student-organized Earth Day festivities at COA's campus.
